the game looks awesome with so much to do, the mission structure was also highlight. ive read that mission structure will always be a mixture of objectives with different gameplay options (decieve vs destroy).
i knew it was gonna be a great game but im actually relieved that it doesnt follow the old regular GTA4 "drive here, shoot everyone, grab diamonds/heroin/money, lose wanted level, end"
ive been following this game for a while and let assure you that every previewer and reviewer whoplayed the game loved it. The gametrailers preview guy got it a little wrong when he conveyed it was all about destruction and chaos, becuase stealth is a vital componant to every mission and allows you to play it any which way you want. the combat is deep (the movelist looks like its from Tekken) the action looks awesome and so far its gotten two 9/10's in reviews.

Seriously, every reviewer and previewer that has played both infamous and prototype (from 1UP podcast and PSW magazine) claim that Prototype is simply more fun. infamous is wonderous in what it does and i would love to play it, but Prototype has been built specifically to be a gamer's game (even the previewers make this statement 'gamer's game'), not casuals, not teenage FPS-addicts, but mature gamers who want somthing seriously fun and engaging.

i have a 360 and i wish i could play infamous, but man am i glad to be able to play Prototype! It sounds like my perfect game is finally being made!

PSW Magazine also had a review and gave the game 9/10, saying that there was always somthing fun to do in a variety of ways and that the story was top-notch.
hopefully, the hate and fanboyism will end so we can all agree both infamous and Prototype are great games. PS3 owners get inFamous now but 360 owners got Crackdown before (maybe even a crackdown 2 later)
i read the review of Prototype in PSW UK and it gave it a 9/10 and said it never got repetetive and there was always so much to do. Both are amazing games, we can all agree on that, it just depends on what you the gamer expects and wants to do in an super-hero sandbox world

Well, why dont you tell us about Prototype's weak story? I for one am dying to hear your rendition of it. Did ya delve into the complete backstory by consuming 200 'Web of Intrigue' targets? Thats pretty amazing considering the game hasnt even gone gold yet.

The previewer hasnt even played the game, its just a long drawl about its backstory and basic mechanics. I noticed 3 errors in the first paragraph. First, its Gentek not 'Genrek' which he mispells multiple times. He calls them a 'medecine company', who uses those words? and no theyre not a pharmaceutical company. The dev said they were over ambitious, not that there were gameplay flaws. granted the crap about it being polished is garbage as they said that the delay gave them time to add more functionality. META CRITIC GIVES THIS 93% BASED ON 5 REVIEWS, IGN had a deal with SuckerPunch for their early review and their launch page. And interestingly their the only site (out of 7 other sites) that has given the game below 8.5
